General Motors announced the OnStar Fleet Intelligence platform, a centralized system designed to bring vehicle data, diagnostics and service management into a single account for fleet customers. The platform merges GM connected services and vehicle telematics to deliver asset productivity, efficiency, risk management and total operating cost information in one place.

Through the new portal fleet operators can renew OnStar software and services, connect and track vehicles, manage orders and access diagnostic metrics such as fuel efficiency and range. The system also includes geofencing and vehicle-protection features and lets customers link vehicles via a Fleet Account Number to manage vehicles listed under that account.

GM also outlined Fleet Insights and an OnStar Fleet AI Assistant that responds to natural-language queries — for example, requests about idling time or vehicle utilization — to help operators interpret data. The offering is available to select GM Fleet customers at publication, with a phased rollout planned to expand access.

For Michigan fleet managers and commercial operators tied to GM brands, the platform could simplify administration and provide consolidated visibility into operating costs and vehicle health; wider availability will depend on GM’s rollout schedule.
