Hot Rod Spectacular Returns to Novi with Classics and TV-Style Cars

Shiny Rust Promotions’ Hot Rod Spectacular is set for October 17–18 at the Grand River Avenue convention center in Novi. The two-day Metro Detroit indoor show runs Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., marking the event’s return for a second year at the venue formerly known as Suburban Collection Showplace.

Organizers describe the lineup as a mix of classic cars, hot rods, customs and TV/movie-style specialty cars, reflecting the tastes of Michigan’s collector-car and custom-car community rather than a national touring exhibition. The indoor setting highlights the region’s year-round passion for car culture and gives enthusiasts a chance to see restored vehicles and themed show cars in one place.

For Michigan enthusiasts, the show is notable as a local gathering that spotlights custom builders and collectors from the Metro Detroit area and nearby regions. What’s known next is the event schedule and location; further details about specific entrants, awards or programming were not included in the local report.
